Daaweitza held up, headway 2f out, edged left, every chance final furlong, kept on well to lead near finish
Captain Jacksparra led, ridden 2f out, kept on final furlong, headed near finish
Phluke prominent, outpaced halfway, rallied over 1f out, kept on finish
H Harrison in touch, effort over 2f out, kept on under pressure final furlong
Hartshead held up, effort on inside when not much room and switched right over 1f out, no impression final furlong
Chicken Soup chased leaders, effort over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Nuit Sombre close up until ridden and weakened from over 2f out
Captain Jacksparra did well considering the way the race panned out. He made the running, and kept on really well only to be caught close home. He should be winning soon.
Last year's winner Phluke, having his second race in two days, got outpaced on the turn, but stayed on again to finish a creditable third, with H Harrison, who has yet to come to himself this time, showing a little more in fourth.
Chicken Soup travelled well enough just off the pace, but didn't find a great deal.
