Eijaaz held up, plenty to do entering straight, good headway over 1f out, led well inside final furlong, pushed out
Caraman close up, led and edged left over 1f out, headed well inside final furlong, ran on
Court Of Appeal prominent, effort and every chance when not much room and switched right approaching final furlong, ran on
Parchment held up, headway over 3f out, kept on under pressure inside final furlong
Resaass led to over 1f out, soon beaten
Funky Town missed break, held up, headway and prominent halfway, ridden and weakened from 2f out
Airedale Lad prominent, lost place halfway, no danger after
Jayne Dean towards rear, driven halfway, soon weakened
Fardi in touch, headway outside halfway, weakened over 3f out
Time Dancer tracked leaders until weakened from 4f out
EIJAAZ was settled well off the pace, and travelled well. Though he carried his headon one side, he ran on to get up close home. This was his first win for three years.
Caraman had every chance, racing in touch, edging left over 1f out and being caught close home. He's exposed.
Court Of Appeal has a good record here, but things didn't go his way this time for he was challenging on the inside when he ran out of room over 1f out, and though switched, his chance had gone. He was possibly unlucky.
Funky Town, returning after a break having shown promise in a couple of bumpers, missed the break, was keen but moved right up down the far side. He had every chance 2f out, but weakened. He's probably better than the bare form, but that may not mean a great deal as it was a modest event.
