Able Master chased leaders, ridden along halfway, headway to lead entering final furlong, driven and held on well towards finish
Kingswinford held up in touch, headway over 1f out, ridden entering final furlong and soon every chance until driven and no extra near finish
Desert Falls led, ridden along 2f out, headed entering final furlong and kept on same pace
Toby Tyler soon ridden along and outpaced towards rear, headway well over 1f out, stayed on inside final furlong, nearest finish
Red Cell chased leader, ridden and chance over 1f out, driven and weakened entering final furlong
Moon Warrior always in rear, outpaced final 2f
ABLE MASTER, having made a winning debut at Ripon, was sent off favourite to follow up and, although he succeeded, it was a close-run thing. He's clearly tough and is plainly going the right way. A sixth furlong will probably suit him even better.
Kingswinford, with three respectable, but winless efforts under his belt, this looked a tough assignment for him, but he only just failed in a bobbing finish. He ought to be able to win a race, especially as he's finished clear of the remainder.
Toby Tyler deserves credit for his fourth-placed effort. Dropped back in trip, he was outpaced through the first half of the race, but he knuckled down well late on and was keeping on stoutly towards the finish. Softer ground will suit him better and, in due course,so will seven furlongs.
Red Cell was comfortably beaten, while Moon Warrior was out of his depth.
