Sculastic took keen hold, tracked leading pair, headway over 2f out, soon ridden and one pace approaching final furlong

Dium Mac pulled hard, tracked leading pair until rapid headway on outer to lead over 6f out, ridden along and headed 3f out, soon weakened

Not a strong race, for there were only four runners but two spoilt their chances by racing keenly. CHARLOTTE VALE, who is in foal to Three Valleys, was always in the first two, went on in the straight and was ridden clear. This was her sixth win on the Flat and she's also a winner over hurdles, but it's hard to know what she achieved. Tartan Tie had every chance, but hadn't been in the best of form while Sculastic raced keenly and didn't quicken. Dium Mac, who was tailed off, pulled much too hard, and though he went on 7f out, he dropped right out in the straight.
