A competitive handicap and a return to winning form for OAT CUISINE who had been unsuited by good to soft ground in her turf debut 18 days earlier but left that effort behind on this much faster surface. She has been held up towards the centre untilbrought to compete towards the stands side in the final furlong and enjoyed a lovely run through on the rails in the final half furlong as she got up close home. She is pretty consistent at this level and could find further success at this grade.

Princess Taylor was having her first outing since December and ran a cracking race under topweight. She came through to lead towards the stands rails over two furlongs out until collared in the closing stages and she showed enough to suggest she can win off her current mark.

Hannicean gained his maiden success over 1m2f last season and gave the impression he could do even better when returned to that distance. He came from off the pace and stayed on best of all inside the final furlong and he couldsoon improve on this effort.

Obezyana was soon bowling along in the lead in the centre group and ran a respectable race and Sonny Parkin was close enough if good enough but often flatters to decieve.

Hazytoo was held up towards the centre and performed better than previously at Chepstow. Networkergave the impression that the run was needed and was not knocked about inside the final furlong and he will improve.

Aggravation won this race last year and ran well on his latest start on the course six days earlier but he was unruly just before the stalls opened and was slowly into stride. He never really got in a blow afterwards and deserves a chance to confirm the promise of his previous start.
