Ask The Butler held up, headway, not clear run and hampered 1f out, ran on to lead near finish, comfortably
Jeer chased leader, ridden to lead over 1f out, headed near finish
Spirit Of Adjisa led, ridden and headed over 1f out, edged right inside final furlong, ran on
Mount Hermon chased leaders, ridden over 3f out, outpaced 2f out, ran on inside final furlong
Shake On It held up, headway 3f out, ridden over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Northern Jem prominent, ridden and not much room over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Robert The Brave slowly into stride, held up, raced keenly, headway over 6f out, ridden and weakened 2f out, eased final furlong
Jeer carried a 6lb penalty for a victory over course and distance eight days earlier and ran another smashing race. He was soon in a handy position and went on over a furlong out where he looked to have the race in the bag until the winner swooped late. He looks capable of winning off his current mark and could soon go one better.
Mount Hermon appeared to need this step up in trip and lacked the pace of the principals over two furlongs out but stayed on well without being given too hard a time and this was also an encouraging effort.
Shake On It was held up and had his chance entering the final two furlong before staying on at one pace and Northern Jem was close up and had his chance but he could do better on easier ground.
