Hasty Retreat close up, led going well over 2f out, pushed clear from over 1f out, readily
Castlebury midfield, effort and headway 2f out, soon chasing winner, kept on final furlong, no impression
Casino Night in touch, effort over 2f out, kept on same pace final furlong
Portrush Storm held up, headway over 1f out, never reached leaders
Natural Rhythm held up in touch, effort over 2f out, no impression final furlong
Mrs Summersby prominent, effort over 2f out, edged left, weakened over 1f out
Caltire behind and soon pushed along, never reached leaders
Whaston behind, driven halfway, never on terms
Sand Maiden led to over 2f out, soon beaten
Rossini´s Dancer chased leaders, driven 3f out, weakened well over 1f out, eased
Ursus behind, driven halfway, never on terms
Persistent in touch on outside, hung left and weakened over 2f out, eased when no chance
Castlebury came out best of the rest and is running well at present; he should find a race.
Casino Night, unable to lead here, kept on pretty well all the same to finish third and confirm herself to be in decent form.
Ofthe others, Natural Rhythm ran a respectable race, but something seemed to be amiss with Rossini's Dancer, who, having held a prominent pitch in the chasing group, came under pressure fully three furlongs out and failed to respond. His jockey looked down once or twice at him before easing down, when clearly beaten, inside the last.
