A low-grade handicap, which provided the right ticket for ANNIBALE CARO to complete a hat-trick of wins. That he won so cosily under his penalty confirms that he's a horse who has really found his form again and, with his confidence sky-high, he looks in tremendous order at present. He remains one to keep on the right side.

Hits Only Vic, behind Annibale Caro at Musselburgh earlier in the week, was unable to turn the tables on the penalised winner, but ran a sound enough race all the same.

Smoothly Does It travelled well off the pace and moved nicely into the race early in the straight. But, once pressure was applied, he was found wanting on ground which would have been plenty lively enough for him.
