Blimey O´Riley set steady pace, ridden over 2f out, kept on well final furlong

Hollins prominent, effort over 2f out, kept on final furlong to take second post, not reach winner

Yonder presed winner, ridden 3f out, soon every chance, one pace final furlong, caught for second post

Bocciani tracked leaders, not much room and switched right over 2f out, effort over 1f out, no impression final furlong

Fleurs De Censier last but in touch, soon niggled along, driven 3f out, no impression from 2f out

A modest maiden, won by BLIMEY O'RILEY, who made all the running and who stuck to his task in likeable style throughout the last couple of furlongs when pressure was applied. He may not totally have appreciated this quick ground - he didn't look altogether happy on it - but he won in any case. Handicaps now beckon for this stout stayer.

Hollins, who had shown some promise in a bumper, ran a fair race switched to Flat rules. He showed quite a round action in the straight and perhaps slightly easier ground would suit him better. Handicaps will offer him more options in due course.

Bocciani, equipped with blinkers for his first race, showed a glimpse of ability, but Fleurs De Censier was off the bridle throughout and could never land a blow.
