Analyis of the race
Only a couple of apparently imminent winners among those to have raced in this maiden but several of the newcomers had attractive profiles and the race certainly threw up a promising performer in UNDAUNTED AFFAIR, who led from halfway, edged left butdrew clear until eased inside the final furlong. This was a significant step up on her debut effort and she is sure to improve again, so she looks well worth a crack at Listed company, at least. She will not be risked on firm ground again, with her training vowing to bypass Royal Ascot and eyeing the Swordlestown race at Naas next month.
Maid For Music did best of the newcomers, always in touch, keeping on in encouraging style, and should improve enough to go very close in similar company next time. Fellow debutante Dubai's Gazal, possibly not helped by being drawn on the far side of the field in the centre of the track, also shaped with promise, with the leaders from the off, and should also do better.
Rosabeehad something to find in this field and also tended to hang left over 1f out. Haven't A Clue was prominent to halfway on her debut, while the keengoing Wigan Pier led for three furlongs.
