Pab Special took keen hold, prominent, led over 2f out, soon 5 lengths clear, tired final furlong but always holding on, ridden out
Sceilin dwelt, soon in midfield, slightly hampered over 5f out, headway and bumped just inside final 2f, chased winner over 1f out, closing at finish, always held
Prince Des Neiges slowly into stride, rapid headway to lead after 2f and slowed pace, headed and edged right over 2f out, one pace
Not Now Lewis held up towards rear, headway to chase leaders 3f out, ridden when bumped just inside final 2f, stayed on same pace final 3f
Ledgerwood in touch, took closer order 4f out, chasing leaders when badly hampered over 2f out, not recover
Lay The Cash took keen hold, led 2f, prominent until awkward on road crossing after 4f, soon lost place and pushed along, stayed on again final 2f
Art Gallery took keen hold in rear, headway into midfield 4f out, hard ridden over 2f out, no impression
Bollywood took keen hold, in touch, ridden 4f out, soon outpaced
Lancaster Lad held up towards rear, headway on outside 3f out, hard ridden 2f out, soon hung left and weakened
Fortunes Maid took keen hold, in touch to halfway, soon ridden and lost place, behind final 3f
Lady Firecracker prominent, ridden when badly squeezed over 2f out, not recover
The Dagger started slowly, behind, headway into midfield 3f out, weakened and hung left 2f out, eased final furlong
He proved popular at the auction, connections having to go to 9,000gns to buy him in.
Ex-Irish Sceilin was taking a big step up in trip after reappearing over 6f, and it suited her well, for having been switched right for her effort, doing one or two rivals no favours in the process, she was closing the winner down at the finish.
The first two were clear of Prince Des Neiges, who looked reluctant early on, but then rushed up to take the lead, which he held until the winner took over. He has the ability, but is not one to rely on.
There was a gap back to Ledgerwood, who had not needed to run to anywhere near his current mark to beat a couple of these at Yarmouth recently and was again below form.
Early leader Lay The Cash lost his place at the crossing, 6f out, and then ran on again. He had no chance on the book so was not disgraced.
Jim Crowley reported that Not Now Lewis did not handle the track.
George Baker reported that The Dagger was unsuited by the track (again).
