Tufton held up, headway 3f out, chased leader 1f out, ran on to lead towards finish
Cherri Fosfate in touch, ridden to lead over 1f out, ran on under pressure, headed towards finish
Sforzando in touch, ridden over 3f out, headway on outside over 1f out, stayed on to take 3rd well inside final furlong, no impression on front pair
Pitbull slowly into stride, held up, headway over 3f out, ridden over 1f out, kept on one pace final furlong
Nightspot led, ridden over 2f out, headed over 1f out, faded well inside final furlong
Mulaazem in touch, ridden to challenge 2f out, not quicken over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Snark behind, ridden over 2f out, eased when no real impression well inside final furlong
Byron Bay held up, ridden over 2f out, soon hung left, never on terms
Boo raced keenly, tracked leaders, ridden and hung left 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Crystal Prince prominent, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
TUFTON, who has made the running in the past, was held up on this occasion and, though under pressure from 2f out, ran on to get up close home. He is pretty exposed and hasn't the best of win records but did it well enough here.
Cherri Fosfate, who won a seller in good style on his latest start, ran well back in handicap company as, after having to nudge his way through to lead over 1f out, he was caught only in the final strides.
He is in good form and finished clear of Sforzando, who ran his best race of the season, coming wide from off the pace and running on without getting to the leaders.
Both Mulaazem and Crystal Prince travelled quite well close to the pace, but neither picked up when ridden, and Snark never featured but was eased when held.
