Crimson Fern held up in touch, headway to lead just inside final 2f, came clear inside final furlong, comfortably

Rocker chased leaders, ridden and every chance inside final 2f, kept on under pressure to hold narrow 2nd throughout final furlong but no chance with winner

Matterofact chased leaders, ridden and every chance inside final 2f, stayed on to dispute 2nd inside final furlong but never any chance with winner

Azygous chased leaders, ridden to challenge 2f out, weakened inside final furlong

Harrison´s Flyer ridden and pushed along towards rear halfway, never going pace to be competitive

Puskas soon pushed along, outpaced most of way

Peopleton Brook slowly into stride, ridden and some progress on outside 2f out, soon weakened

Trinculo soon led, headed and weakened inside final 2f

Not much of a race, but won in style by CRIMSON FERN, who travelled well and took complete command with well over a furlong to go. A triple all-weather winner, including off a mark only a pound lower than this, she was running for only the third timeon turf and showing much improved form.

Rocker just got the better of a good battle for second with the winner's stablemate Matterofact, who won the corresponding race a year ago, but neither of them were any match at all for Crimson Fern.
