Josr´s Magic held up in rear, smooth headway on inner 2f out, ridden to lead entering final furlong, stayed on well
Having A Ball close up, ridden to lead 2f out, driven and headed entering final furlong, kept on same pace
Aussie Blue held up and behind, headway on inner well over 1f out, soon ridden and kept on inside final furlong, nearest finish
Dasheena midfield, headway on outer 2f out, soon ridden and kept on approaching final furlong, not reach leaders
It´s Josr slowly into stride and towards rear, headway 3f out, switched right and ridden 2f out, soon driven and hung left well over 1f out, no impression after
Mr Fantozzi took keen hold, soon led, ridden along 3f out, driven and headed 2f out, soon weakened
Plumage in touch on outer, ridden along well over 2f out and soon weakened
Welcome Releaf close up, ridden along 3f out, weakened over 2f out
Young Gladiator chased leaders, ridden along 2f out, no impression when hampered over 1f out and no chance after
Rowan Lodge steadied and switched left start, held up, always in rear
The Geester slowly into stride, pulled hard and soon chasing leaders, ridden 3f out and soon weakened
Komreyev Star chased leaders, ridden along 3f out, soon driven and weakened
Khazina midfield, ridden along on outer 3f out, soon outpaced
JOSR'S MAGIC was dropping back in trip from 1m4f and trying Fibresand for just the second time, but he picked up well in the straight after getting agood run up the inside having been a little outpaced early on. His trainer intends to bring him back to Southwell, as the surface clearly suited.
Having A Ball had every chance if good enough and this was an improvement on his recent efforts.
Aussie Blue was doing his best work at the finish on this first try on an artificial surface, and Dasheena kept on well enough in the closing stages.
Mr Fantozzi was successful over course and distance off a 2lb lower mark on his only previous try on this surface in July, but he was too keen with the blinkers back on this time.
Rowan Lodge was never going have had to be dropped in from stall 14, while The Geester pulled extremely hard and looked a bit of a nightmare for his jockey.
