MAJURO had shown little in four runs since joining this yard, but excuses could be made for all of those efforts. Trying Fibresand for the first time, he was always going well just off the lead and found plenty for pressure in the straight to take this in convincing fashion, making the most of a mark 16lb lower than when first contesting a handicap. He is equally effective on Polytrack and could be in for a profitable winter.
Paraguay ran into a very well-handicapped rival and this was a good effort in defeat.
Minus Fifteen, the winner of a 6f maiden here on his only previous try on Fibresand, kept on when headed and didnot do much wrong. His overall record, however, suggests 7f may suit best.
Always A Rock seems to have lost the plot lately and he did not go a yard early in the first-time blinkers. He kept on in the straight, but was never getting there.
Intersky Charm, tried in a first-time visor, dropped disappointingly after making the early running.
