Plotting made virtually all, ridden clear over 1f out, kept on
Ditto Ditto hampered start, in rear when pushed wide bend after 2f, headway on outer well over 1f out, ridden and stayed on inside final furlong, not reach winner
Risky Capital close up, ridden along and edged right 2f out, driven and edged left over 1f out, kept on same pace
Valdemar tracked leaders on inner, effort 2f out, ridden and staying on when not clear run over 1f out, switched right and driven entering final furlong, kept on
Silent Wonder prominent on outer when ran wide bend after 2f, effort and chance 2f out, soon ridden and weakened over 1f out
Princess Rebecca in touch, headway to chase leaders 2f out, soon ridden and one pace approaching final furlong
Accomplishment always towards rear
Especially For You went right start, in rear when hung right bend after 2f, never a factor
La Capriosa close up, ridden over 2f out and soon weakened
PLOTTING failed to build on the promise she made first-time up at Doncaster when down the field at Newmarket last time, but this was by far the weakest race she has contested to date and she found this a straightforward opportunity to get off the mark. The form is not worth a great deal, particularly with the favourite failing to run his race, but she should get a reasonable mark when switching to handicaps.
Ditto Ditto was bumped at the start by Especially For You, and was kept wide by that rival, but he was doing his best work at the finish. This was an improvement on his first two starts, but it has to be noted he continually edged left under pressure, having to be straightened up on a couple of occasions. Hehas the ability to win a small nursery/handicap, but might not be straightforward.
Valdemar, tried in cheekpieces for the first time, would have finished quite a bit closer had he not been hampered rounding the final bend and again two out.
Silent Wonder had shown plenty of ability when runner-up on his first two starts, both over 5f on easy ground, but this was very disappointing and his attitude looked suspect. He was stuck out wide early on having proved hard to steer around the bends, and then wandered around when asked to pick up in thestraight. It might be that he simply hated the surface, but this effort still leaves him with plenty to prove.
