MEMPHIS MAN, 2lb higher, has been running consistently on turf since his last success at Haydock in August and deservedly resumed winning ways with a fairly cosy display. He showed a professional attitude when put under maximum pressure and was always going to get up in the final 100 yards. This was just about the quickest surface he has won on to date and he should at least continue be competitive still after another likely rise up the handicap.
The in-form Haajes was produced to lead around the furlong pole and gave it his all on this quickerground. He was just found out by the penalty.
Make My Dream fared best of those to race handily and continues in good heart, helping to set the standard of the form. Harlech Castle has struggled for the most part this season, but he has been given respite from the handicapper as a result and it was his most encouraging display for a while.
Adantino, who likes this venue, was doing his best work at the finish and shaped better than the bare form as he was tight for room in the final furlong. However, he has become hard to predict.
