Analyis of the race
This looked the stronger of the two divisions of the maiden hurdle, and it was won gamely by ANDREW NICK, who is from a good jumps family and stayed on strongly after the last. He looks an interesting prospect.
Tuskar Rock, rated 105, ran creditably in second after having every chance, and he should find a race.
Despite a mistake down the far side, Diamond Frontier, back up in trip, stuck on for third, the first three finishing well clear of Political Paddy, who was a shade disappointing.
The Irish raider Castleroche was behind from three out and wasn't knocked about, coming home seventh, but both his trainer and rider were found to have breached the rules by the stewards and the case was referred on to Shaftesbury Avenue.
