The winner is unbeaten in three bumper starts and William Hill and Boylesports make him 10-1 for the Anglo Irish Bank Supreme Novices Hurdle.
Endless Intrigue by-passed the Weatherbys Champion Bumper but went into this race the winner of both his previous starts. He was unable to cope with the winner over the last furlong and a half but ran a good race, nonetheless, disputing the lead from four furlongs out until the turn in.
Academy Sir Harry, successful on his second start when winning at Fairyhouse 11 days previously, made headway from mid division five furlongs out and after running into a spot of trouble over three furlongs out (Lasse Viern also met with interference at the same point in an incident which led to Patrick Mullins, rider of the winner, picking up a two day careless riding ban), he turned for home in fourth place and stayed on.
Touch Of Irish, twice a winner at Newcastle before finishing second to Honest John at Aintree early this month, made headway from five furlongs out and kept on without ever getting into serious contention.
Total Excitement, a winner at Cork last month, had a lot more on his plate here and performed creditably although never able to get in a serious challenge.
Apt Approach, sixth behind the winner at Cheltenham, raced prominently and disputed the lead four furlongs out before dropping out of contention before the straight.
Lilywhitedancer, fifth in the Cheltenham race, made headway on the inside to track the leaders towards the end of the back-straight but began to struggle soon afterwards.(TOH)
