Misbehaviour held up in touch, headway to chase leaders 9th went 2nd next until before 3 out, ridden and beaten 2 out
Molly Hussey always in rear, dived 3rd, struggling and ridden 7th, losing touch when blundered next, well behind after
Magic Clover chased leaders, mistake 3rd, went 2nd next until fell 5th
Swift Sailor chased leaders, lost place and ridden after 7th, well behind when pulled up 10th
Bungar Belle last when jumped slowly 3rd, detached from next, well tailed off and pulled up 8th
Analyis of the race
Another ordinary race, although this was at least a little more competitive.
In the end it proved a romp for chasing debutant CHRYSANDER, who was rated 122 over hurdles and he translated that form fluently to the bigger obstacles.
Soon bowlingalong in front, his jumping was pretty flawless and, still going best two out he quickened away again once shaken up after the last. A sharp track like this is ideal for him and this was a most encouraging introduction to his new vocation.
City Affair also jumped well, held up near the back for the most part. He made good headway before nipping up the inside at the bottom of the final loop and going in pursuit of the winner, but although closing in at the last, he was left for dead in the closing stages.
Prince Ary has shaped with a little more promise than when last seen, tackling fences for the first time but he weakened away at the business end and he just isn't on his game at present.
