Idian Mix held up in mid-division, headway on inside 3 out, led 2 out, soon ridden, ran on flat
Forest Green held up and behind, reminders after 5th, badly hampered 3 out, soon good headway, ridden to challenge 2 out, not quicken flat
Shanxi Girl held up and behind, headway approaching 7th, every chance when wandered 2 out, weakened approaching last
Josear led 2nd to 2 out, soon weakened
Mungo Jerry held up in touch, weakened after 3 out
Loulou Nivernais took keen hold in touch, jumped slowly 7th, weakened after 3 out
Don´t Be Bleu prominent, went 2nd 7th, weakened after 3 out, behind when pulled up before 2 out
Mole´s Chamber in rear, slightly hampered 3 out, tailed off when pulled up before 2 out
Estate always towards rear, lost touch from 3 out, tailed off when pulled up before 2 out
Curragh View led to 2nd, chased leader to 7th, fading when fell 3 out
Voir Dire held up in mid-division, headway after 7th, hit 3 out, weakening when slipped up and crashed through rails bend approaching 2 out, dead
The other incident of note was the fall of Curragh View in the back straight where he virtually stopped Forest Green in his tracks and that probably made the difference between winning and losing as he was not beaten that far by IDIAN MIX. The winner obviously needs this better ground and, as he is not that badly handicapped at present , there might be a bit more to come.
Shanxi Girl, pulled up on softer conditions the last twice, also performed better on this surface and she could be of interest in the mares division.
Josear, was switching back to hurdles after falling over fences last time, but he is pretty well exposed.
