ATABAAS ALLURE broke smartly from her inside draw to take up the running on the rail, was angled out wider in the straight and dug deep to hold off the late challengers. She weakened at Ayr last time when the soft ground was against her, but Polytrack evidently suits, though connections felt this track was on the sharp side, and she will eventually appreciate further.
Silent Hero had been slowly away when winning at Southwell last time, and from his wide draw the same tactics were tried again, but he was bumped on the home turn and could not find a gap until the home straight. He made significant late headway but had too much ground to make up. He can resume winning ways on a track that is more favourable for hold-up horses.
Striding Edge was outpaced until making headway on the home turn.
Jobekani ran a bit better than he has recently, travelling well round theturn until fading in the straight, and could appreciate being dropped in trip.
Champagne Fizz was weak in the market and broke well but weakened from halfway.
