Gray Mountain held up, headway when slightly hampered by faller 3 out, headway before next, led run-in, stayed on well
General Ledger chased leader, led 4 out, ridden when veered left after 2 out, headed run-in, kept on
Midas took keen hold, prominent, effort before 2 out, one pace before last
Norminster prominent until ridden and outpaced 3 out
Egermyster took keen hold, in touch, hit 4 out, no extra before next
Valerius held up, driven along 4 out, never able to challenge
Seek The Truth in touch to 4 out, soon ridden and weakened
Turbulent Flight towards rear, struggling before 4 out, never on terms
Gusty Law held up, headway and in touch 4 out, weakened next
Champagne Only pulled hard, chased leaders to 4 out, soon weakened
Teenybash behind, struggling halfway, soon lost touch
Tigerific led to 4 out, close fifth but outpaced when fell heavily next
No Reasoning not fluent in rear, tailed off when pulled up before 3 out
Haroum towards rear, struggling and pulled up before 4 out
The winner is better than the bare form for he was hampered by the faller three out, but came on the scene going to the second-last and ran on in good style. A five-year-old with some scope, he goes well on fast ground and could well follow up.
General Ledger is quite exposed, but fitted with blinkers for the first time, ran up to form, racing in touch before three out, and though he edged left, he kept on. He should be able to win a race.
The exposed Norminster was a one-paced fourth.
