Caoba always prominent, led soon after 3 out to 2 out, hard ridden and held when left clear last
Party Palace not fluent, with leader, every chance approaching 2 out, soon ridden and weakened
Aimigayle led, hit 4th, mistake 3 out, soon headed, ridden and weakened approaching 2 out, soon eased
Spot The Lady held up, ridden after 5th, soon struggling
True Dove not jump well, always behind, ridden approaching 6th, soon struggling
Gemgaballou behind, ridden 4th, soon lost touch, tailed off
Back To Normal held up in mid-division, struggling when mistake 6th, tailed off
Stroppi Poppi took keen hold, not jump well, prominent to 3rd, lost touch 6th, fell last
Trinity Rose held up, headway approaching 3 out, led 2 out, 3 lengths clear when fell last
These mares' novice hurdles rarely take too much winning and this was no exception but Trinity Rose would definitely have collected but for exiting at the final flight when in control. This incident left CAOBA with the race at her mercy and, as she had been runner-up the last three times, she was hardly winning out of turn even with all the luck on her side. Obviouslyshe will have to carry a penalty for a very fortunate win and things will be a lot harder.
Aimigayle did her chance under a double penalty no favours when blundering at the third last and the extra weight makes life difficult.
Trinity Rose was very unfortunate and, as long as her confidence is not too badly dented, she is surely a winner without a penalty in one of these.
