Slam made all, ridden just over 1f out, ran on well
Once A Gulch soon chasing winner, ridden and tried to challenge over 1f out, driven and hung left 1f out, one pace
Barliffey in touch in midfield, ridden 3f out, chased leading pair 2f out, soon switched right, well outpaced over 1f out
Paint The Town Red steadied after start, took keen hold, held up in rear, outpaced over 3f out, well behind final 2f
Ainia steadied start, held up in rear, outpaced over 3f out, no chance final 2f
Augmentation chased leading pair until 2f out, soon weakened
Milne Bay took keen hold, held up in touch, ridden and outpaced over 3f out, no chance after, tailed off
Looking fit for this seasonal return, he stillhad to battle hard to keep promising newcomer Once A Gulch at bay and was helped by that colt running green, lugging left into the rail and behind the winner under pressure into the final furlong.
The pair pulled nicely clear of reasonably yardstick Barliffey, although he was a bit rusty on this seasonal return being scrubbed along fully half a mile out before plugging on. The form still suggests the front two are above average and capable of moving into conditions races.
