Doubly Sharp led to 3rd, with leader, led 5th, ridden approaching 2 out, driven out
Knock Boy prominent, lost place after 5th, rallied 3 out, hard ridden approaching last, kept on to take 2nd post
Pipers Legend held up, headway to chase winner 3 out, ridden after 2 out, jumped left last, one pace
Romping Home held up, headway after 5th, ridden 3 out, one pace flat
Gaelic Present prominent, ridden to chase winner briefly approaching 3 out, weakened approaching 2 out, jumped left last
Aintnonancy held up, headway 3rd, ridden after 5th, weakened 3 out
Spud pulled hard early in rear, not fluent 2nd, short-lived effort 3 out
Hearty Dove with leader, led 3rd to 5th, soon ridden, weakened 3 out
Knock Boy, wearing cheekpieces for the first time, stayed on well to snatch second and this winning pointer should be better when sent chasing.
Romping Home seemed better suited by this company than Newbury's mares' final where she pulled up and better ground is what she needs on the evidence of her Bangor win.
Spud, having his first run for a couple of months, was never competitive and looks one to avoid on the little he showed here.
