Masamah tracked leaders, hung left over 2f out, led over 1f out, ended up on far side rail
Caranbola led until over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Majuba steadied start, took keen hold in rear, effort over 1f out, ridden and little response inside final furlong
Grand Honour tracked leaders, effort 2f out, soon ridden, edged left and weakened
Steel Stockholder with leader, led over 2f out until over 1f out, kept on same pace
Caranbola had looked good in winning at Ripon the previous month and she confirmed that impression, always to the fore, leading over two furlongs out until over a furlong out for a decent second, ahead of the keen-going Majuba who looks headstrong and at present barely gets 5f - he may be worth giving a break and bringing back when nurseries start as he would get a very low mark, but may do better in time.
