Dualagi steadied start, took keen hold in rear, still plenty to do when switched right 1f out, strong run to lead close home
Matterofact chased leaders, ridden and strong run inside final furlong, took 2nd last strides but always held by winner
Heaven chased leaders, led 1f out, hard driven, headed and no extra close home
Easy Wonder in rear, headway on outside when bumped 1f out, stayed on inside final furlong but not reach leading trio
Asian Lady in rear, headway on outside when bumped 1f out, kept on but never going pace to challenge
Linda Green bumped bend over 4f out and behind, rapid headway approaching final furlong, not reach leaders
Diminuto chased leaders, led inside final 2f, headed 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Is It Time chased leaders, ridden halfway, stayed on same pace final furlong
Rathmolyon led until headed inside final 2f, weakened final furlong
Crimson Fern pulled hard, chasing leaders when faltered and stumbled badly 1f out, not recover and eased
Cosmic Destiny pulled hard early, behind from halfway
Edie Superstar slowly away, some headway into mid-division over 2f out, soon weakened
DUALAGI needed an opening and when she did, she quickened up impressively to defy worries about the faster ground as she has form on an easy surface. She could turn out again under a penalty next Tuesday, but needs watching as she is quite flighty and was taken down very steadily very early to help her cause.
Matterofact did well from his outside berth and she is another who would have preferred an end-to-end gallop. This was a good seasonal reappearance suggesting better to come.
Easy Wonder was bumped by the winner as he went past, pushing himinto Asian Lady, but they were both flat out at the time, but continued to run on, suggesting a stronger gallop would have suited.
Crimson Fern was on the heels of the leaders, but looking held, when nearly falling after clipping heels of the leading line over a furlong out, and she was eased.
