Stringsofmyheart slowly into stride, soon recovered and led, made rest, ridden over 2f out, hard pressed inside final furlong, found extra and forged ahead final 100yds
Our Kes took keen hold, held up in touch in rear, headway 4f out, ridden over 2f out, chased winner over 1f out, every chance inside final furlong, no extra final 100yds
Golden Wave chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, edged slightly left 2f out, chased leading pair over 1f out, outpaced final furlong
Bavarica steadied start, took keen hold, held up in touch, headway on outer 5f out, chased leader over 3f out, every chance over 2f out, bumped along and weakened quickly over 1f out
Treasure Isle in touch on outer, bumped bend over 8f out, ridden and struggling over 3f out, no chance after
Tabulate took keen hold, chased leader until over 3f out, soon ridden, weakening when short of room briefly 2f out
Miss Marauder took keen hold, held up in midfield, lost place and ridden over 4f out, well behind final 3f
Niqaab in touch in midfiled, dropped to rear and ridden over 4f out, well behind final 3f
STRINGSOFMYHEART was most game as OurKes moved alongside looking the likelier winner into the final furlong but was outstayed in the final 100 yards by a filly, whose connections feel she will get further to open up more opportunities. She has dipped back below her winning mark and looks like being another moneyspinner for her successful connections, who have had Arctic Desert and Punching over the winter.
Her 6lb winner's penalty ultimately proved costly to Our Kes but she remains in top form. She was one of the keenest under restraint at the steady tempo but moved up stylishly around the home bend. She has won off this mark three years ago and in this sort of form can still defy the handicapper.
Bavarica weakened up the straight after holding a chance but nothing else threatened.
The disappointing second favourite Miss Marauder was reported to have been unsuited to theleft-handed track.
