GONE'N'DUNNETT wins in his turn these days and was cleverly ridden by his substitute jockey to overcome a potentially troublesome draw. He was well on top at the line and while a veteran he still retains the ability especially off what is nearly a banded-race mark, having crept into the 70s this time three years ago inhis prime. He can certainly win again at this level and clearly enjoys this surface and sweeping bends.
Tenancy made it a hat-trick of placings without doing anything wrong from the front. He has started to edge back up the handicap to temper enthusiasm.
Polar Force was stuck in a pocket into the first bend after breaking well but stayed on up the straight. He is another who has plummeted the handicap from his heyday and while going back up after a win, he remains interesting for a similar contest.
Jayanjay again threatened but his run flattened out in the final furlong as has become the norm. He is coming down the handicap but this veteran looks on the wane.
Buzbury Rings is another frustrating character and he blew the start, pitchingand having to settle for a midfield berth from where he saw little daylight until plodding on up the straight.
Ali Bruce was a handful to post and was withdrawn.
Macademy Royal was reported to have lost his near-fore shoe.
