Analyis of the race
Making his all-weather debut proved no barrier to MASAI MOON, who took this up approaching the final furlong and was driven clear to win with something to spare. Being effective on artificial surfaces may open up new avenues for him.
Bartercard, a course and distance winner at the end of last month, was racing off a 5lb higher mark in this tougher contest and, although he acquitted himself well, he was no match for the winner.
Kelamon was comfortably held. Kabeer dwelt in the stalls and never really fired. Sailor King was well beaten.
