LONGEVITY, sent off the odds-on favourite, was having his first run on this surface. He moved sweetly through the race, but he came off the bridle once in line for home and showed a tendency to hang to his left.
Kerrin McEvoy gave him a wonderful ride in extricating him from behind the runner-up and getting him up to win close home.
Reel Man, rated 64, led home the rest, but was well beaten.
Mouse White kept on to be nearest at the finish and may need a stiffer test of stamina.
Bertha showed a hint of ability, as did Cheeky Chilli.
