Analyis of the race
KINGSMAITE loves it round here, and he registered his fourth course win with a workmanlike success, staying on under pressure to lead within the last furlong. He carried 2lb overweight here and is clearly in good nick. He is worth noting if he turns out again under a penalty.
Owed made a bold bid and, for a little while, looked as though he was going to prevail, but, although he battled on well, the winner wore him down late on.
Cape Of Storms continues to run well and did so again here, having every chance over a furlong out, and simply being unable to quicken inside the last.
Tag Team was returning after a short break. Elusive Warrior remains a hard horse to predict, but six furlongs is probably plenty sharp enough for him in any case.
