Turfshuffle always prominent, led approaching 2 out, driven out
Font held up in mid-division, headway approaching 5th, chased winner approaching 2 out, ridden and hung left approaching last, kept on flat
Sangfroid always prominent, ridden approaching 2 out, jumped left last, kept on same pace
Freddy´s Star always prominent, led after 4th, blundered 3 out, headed and held in 3rd when mistake 2 out, soon weakened
Raise The Heights held up in mid-division, no real progress from 3 out
Orvita held up towards rear, some headway after 5th, weakened after 3 out
Moncada Way led 1st until after 4th, with leader until weakened approaching 2 out
Quillygham jumped right 2nd, always in rear
Good Effect led to 1st, held up in touch, weakening when jumped slowly 5th
Itsawindup prominent early, lost place approaching 5th, soon behind
Jethro Wheeler always behind
Hazard Away mistakes, always behind, tailed off
The first four were clear in the end and it went to TURFSHUFFLE who had shown that something like this was within his compass when third on his hurdles debut. On this showing he will probably get a bit further and there is likely to be a bit more to come.
Font had shown some ability on both his previoustries over hurdles. The lack of pace would not have played to his strengths but he did not look particularly straightforward in the straight and maybe blinkers would be of some assistance now that he is eligible for a mark.
Freddy's Star was responsible for setting what pace there was but his headstrong antics always leave him vulnerable.
