Prudent Honour ran well but looked as though he’ll appreciate another step up in trip. Leading early, he tracked the lead for a good portion of the contest, before losing his place after the third-last. He eventually ran on well again to lead briefly two out before he was headed again. He was a clear second coming to the last, where he proceeded to make a bad blunder that the rider did very well indeed to recover from.
Cailin Vic Mo Cri also ran another solid race but is an out-and-out stayer. Racing in mid-division early, she was being rousted along with a circuit to go and couldn’t go with the leaders when the pace increased on the final circuit. To her credit, she kept finding a bit to get back into some sort of contention before the turn in and kept on well without having any chance with the winner.
Bluesea Cracker was another to run pretty well. Taking it up before the end of the first circuit, she increased the pace on the final circuit, but couldn’t keep it up and just kept on at the one pace after the third-last, finishing just in front of Royal Heritage, who was never in the hunt.
