The Level has looked a decent horsefrom time to time and should get his turn eventually over hurdles. Racing in the leading group for most of the journey, he attempted to give chase to the winner from the third-last, but was under pressure to do so. In his favour he did stay on well to put a deal of daylight between himself and the remainder of the opposition without being able to make any impression on Equus Maximus.
There was a good deal of promise shown by newcomer Una Duce. Held up in mid-division, he began to close a little bit before the fourth-last and continued to stay on from there under an educational ride to finish third without being able to get near the first two. He looks a potentially nice individual that should improve a good deal for the experience and will probably stay a trip as well.
Kilkenny All Star looked to be an improving individual before tonight, but having chased the winner early, he attempted to take him on over the final circuit, but was under pressure after three out and his efforts had taken their toll before the second-last. He's better than this and should prove that in due course.
Dawn Ledgend finished tailed-off and was reported afterwards to have burst a blood vessel
