LADY SAMBURY, who had won in heavy ground at Newcastle two runs ago, bounced back after a below-par effort at Perth last time. Showing up in the first three before going on four out, she stayed on well to score. She'll stay 3m and, as her trainer reckons, will be just as effective on quicker going. She'll be kept going during the summer.
Twelve Paces, who is so much better handicapped over hurdles than fences, ran on for third despite being off the bridle from a very early stage.
Charles Street ran on but never got into it, and Moneylaws ran her best race to date.
