A dry, sunny day and the ground had obviously got a bit faster and the riders considered it to be just on the fast side of good.
This maiden hurdle was quite competitive for the time of year as there were a few potential improvers in the line up so the form appears pretty solid.
NOTHING IS FOREVER, having his third try over hurdles, ran about at his hurdles in front but looks the type who will go on from here. He could well the type who needs holding on to for longer than he was on this occasion and coming off the pace, but his future now lies in what the handicapper makes of the form.
Alaghiraar was sporting a tongue-tie for the first time after being reported to have a breathing problem last time. He is another whose future lies with the handicapper but there is likely to be a race in him as he seemed suited by this faster ground.
Simondiun did not jump well enough to do himself justice and if that can be ironed out there are races to be won with him.
Cornish Jester, reverting to hurdles, had his chance from the front and there did not seem to be any excuses.
Transvestite gave the impression he is better than he showed here after plugging on without ever looking dangerous. He is now eligible for a mark and that is where his future lies.
