The subject of a health check by trainer Paul Green after scoping dirty and having to miss a race at Thirsk, the winner defended an unbeaten record at Colwick Park off an elevated mark.
Hawaii Prince staged a much-improved effort to chase home the winner in the same group. Having shown nothing so far this season, this was a big step up.
Raccoon towed the group of five on the far side along and was clear entering the final furlong. The veteran goes well fresh, so this solid run was not unexpected.
Harrison's Flyer, well treated on his old form, ran well to finish just out of the money despite his stable being a shade quiet.
Darcy's Pride couldn't dictate sufficiently well to get a grip on the contest, while Multahab is a shade high in the handicap and failed to menace on this switch back to turf.
