DANZATRICE was one of the few to come into it at the top of her game, and though she won narrowly, she was value for a great deal more than the winning margin. Held up in last, she made smooth headway on the inside in the straight, but was hemmed clearly going best for about a furlong. However, when the gap came, she quickened up well and was a comfortable winner. That said, she's pretty exposed off her mark, and will struggle if the handicapper overreacts to winning what was in essence an ordinary contest.
Mt Desert wasn't disgraced considering he was coming back after a long break.
