Analyis of the race
No great pace on here, which makes AYPEEYES'S ready victory all the more impressive. A 1m4f all-weather winner off a 5lb lower mark last September, Aypeeyes - who has been hurdling recently - might have been expected to find this trip on the sharp side, given the steady pace, but he picked up really well to win with something to spare, and he has evidently gone the right way from three to four.
King Of Rhythm, who had shaped well on his recent return to action, raced keenly in mid-division andthen found a little trouble when trying to deliver his challenge approaching the furlong mark. Aypeeyes got first run on him and was never going to be caught, but King Of Ryhthm could recover losses before too long.
