Amosite, whose best run to date was a fourth of six at Lingfield a month ago, was lit up by a first-time visor here and, having been allowed an uncontested lead, she did not give up without a fight on the run to the line. The big question now is whether she can reproduce the form as she gets more accustomed to the headgear.
Undaunted Affair had plenty to do from halfway after being messed about at the start, but this 47,000gns newcomer was doing some excellent work late on. She is half-sister to a 7f Listed winner and, on this evidence, could come into her own over that trip laterin the summer.
Disappointment of the race was Readily, who failed to build on the promise of her fourth at Windsor last month and was a beaten horse at the furlongmark. The Windsor ground was riding fast, and perhaps the slightly slower going here was not entirely to her liking.
