Zowington has slipped to a very attractive mark, andChris Wall hopes that this will give him renewed confidence. He reckons a stiffer track suits him even better.
Ocean Blaze led inside the final furlong until near the finish. She ran really well, as did Merlin's Dancer, who was up there all ofthe way and took it up around two furlongs out.
The former German-trained filly Mondovi was heavily backed in the morning but faced a stiff enough introduction to racing in this country and was not fully wound up. She is said to need this quick ground, and she can improve on this.
Harry Up came here bidding for a hat-trick after two AW wins, but this was a much hotter race and he dropped away after pressing the pace.
Silver Prelude disputed the early pace but he weakened right out of it.
