Taurus Twins led, hung left from well over 1f out, headed over 1f out, soon outpaced and well beaten
Striding Edge squeezed for room start, raced in midfield on outer, ridden and hanging left over 2f out, kept on but never on terms
Sonhador went right start, soon prominent, ridden and switched right over 1f out, soon weakened
Proper Tool slowly into stride, always towards rear, some headway 1f out, never dangerous
Mean Mr Mustard very slowly away, always well behind
Agnes Love taken down early, went left start, chased leader after 1f, ridden 2f out, soon weakened

Analyis of the race
Difficult to know what this form is worth, but MYTHICAL BORDER, a $500,000 Johannesburg filly, won in great style in a time only half a second or so outside the juvenile record, and it was no surprise to hear afterwards that she is being aimed at theQueen Mary Stakes. Having been held up just behind the leaders, she quickened up instantly when eased out for her effort and was soon well on top. Once in front she was inclined to prick her ears and look about a bit, suggesting there was plenty left in the tank, and although she is on the small side and was by no means the most imposing member of the field she will merit a deal of respect at Royal Ascot. Whether she runs in the meantime remains to be seen.
Souter's Sister would have been a clear-cut winner herself without Mythical Border in the field. She had shaped quite well in a Windsor maiden first time out and the market suggested she was well fancied to go one better. It looks as if she ran into a well above average newcomer, and she can gain compensation.
The well backed Striding Edge looked the part, but he struggled towards the middle of the track and failed to improve appreciably on his Windsor debut.Sonhador showed speed but weakened.
Mean Mr Mustard lost all chance at the start and barely had a race.
Martin Dwyer reported that Striding Edge was unsuited by the ground. Hayley Turner reported that Agnes Love lost a shoe. Kevin Ghunowa reported that Proper Tool ran very green.
