Quite a tight little event and the finish confirmed that with BAUNAGAIN returning to form in game fashion. He has looked unlucky when slowly away from a good draw at Folkestone last time and dwelt slightly on this occasion but was soon travelling nicely just behind the the front pair. His jockey had to wait for the gap inside the final furlong and appeared take a whack on the jaw from the rider of third horse's whip but he didn't flinch an inch and picked up to lead close home. This is his level and he could prosper further in this grade.

Spartan Duke was soon close up and came through to have every chance in the final furlong and was just run out of it. He should be all the better for his first experience of the course and can improve for hisfirst run for his new trainer.

Valhillen was always chasing and is well exposed and Arabian Spirit missed the kick and can improve for his first run since October.
