North South Divide raced on the opposite side of the pack and led from just inside the final furlong until near the finish. He brought decent recent form to the race, as did the ultra consistent Savile's Delight in third, so the form looks solid enough.
China Cherub showed plenty of speed up the middle of the track and will be all the better for this first run in four months, but recent Kempton winner Vintage had no obvious excuse neither did Lucayos, who had his chance and weakened.
Forest Dane is gradually slipping towards a feasible mark and might have possibilities again one day, but top-weight Dingaan, who ran so well here on his return on Saturday, ran no sort of race this time with the cheekpieces back on.
