BERTOLIVER has the early pace which is such an asset on this track and he showedthe benefit of his pipeopener, making all, quickening clear off the home turn and ultimately a relatively comfortable winner. He was a fair three-year-old sprinter but looks to have come on again this term.
Green Park deserves credit for his second place but the way he kept on to grab second late on suggests this was more of a test of speed than is ideal for him - on this evidence he is very much one to be interested in when reverting to a stiffer test. Ebraam is another one who ran well considering that he would have benefited from a stiffer test.
Of the rest Rebel Duke ran as well as could be expected, in touch from the off, while Strike Up The Band ran well for a long way but his wide draw and stiff handicap mark ultimately did for him.
