FULL VICTORY did well on ground that was getting faster by the hour as he is a horse who goes with give in the ground. Drawn widest of all, he challenged on the wide outside and got on top near the finish. He had looked to be coming to hand last time, when narrowly defeated at Windsor, and this win confirmed him to be a horse in great form.
Zero Tolerance also deserves plenty of credit. Best-known as a soft-ground horse, he would surely have found these conditions plenty quick enough, but he ran a blinder all the same and is clearly a horse to keep on the right side.
Froissee took the eye in the paddock, looking a picture. And she ran well too, only being outpointed late on. She can surely gain compensation.
Veiled Applause ran a decent race, given that he did not appear to enjoy the cleanest of runs.
Collateral Damage looked well, but, turned out quickly after his creditable effort last Saturday in the Thirsk Hunt Cup, went sharply left at the start and was never in the hunt.
Ansells Pride lost all chance when hampered at the start.
