Rosbay is the horse to take out of the race. Dropped back in trip, he could have done with a stronger end-to-end gallop. He finished stoutly under the rail and would have won in another couple of strides. His winning turn is merely delayed.
Sudden Impulse deserves credit. She had little chance trying to come from last place in a race run at such a moderate gallop, and she did well to finish so close.
Ursis was beaten for toe when the race began in earnest. The remaining trio were beaten a dozen or more lengths.
