CAVENDISH, who proved himself in good form at Yarmouth last month, defied a 9lb higher mark here and proved game in victory. He is clearly onvery good terms with himself.
Coronado's Gold, whose stamina was unproven for this trip, saw his race out well enough, but the winner was always just holding him.
The first two came clear of Just Waz, who would have finished a good deal closer but for being hampered and knocked back on the home turn.
Foxxy was not disgraced on her first race of the season.
The well-backed Chip N Pin was never able to land a serious blow.
Vice Admiral dropped away tamely after making the running, while Bronze Dancer stopped as though shot on the home turn.
